Married Dr Don Overend 40 years ago. I have owned and operated a travel agency since 1978. We merged with 2 other agencies in 2000 renamed The Travel Group. Left Springfield in 1968 for Los Angeles was there till 1971 transferred to Des Moines, IA. Transferred from Des Moines to Chicago in 1974. Left Chicago moved to Clearwater/Tampa area in 1980 and wouldn't leave here for anything, notwithstanding the hurricanes. Have two daughters that live in Springfield/Nixa with 3 grandkids. Been married to a wonderful woman for 10 years who has two daughters and a son with 3 grandkids all living within a couple of miles of us. Still working 45-50 hours a week for Verizon telephone company, and playing golf. Gave up softball this past winter after having rotator cuff surgery (although that might be temporary). Otherwise not much to tell.

Presently I'm retired and enjoying traveling and reading. I taught English and Spanish for 22 years and enjoy playing the guitar and visiting with my two grandsons and old high school friends. Married to James R. Kellett for 45 years. I'd love to hear from any of you. E-mail me.

After graduation from Parkview we went over to SMS (you do remember SMS!) From there to St Louis University Dental School for 4 years. Marring Cara Hughes (Parkview ’60) while there. Then off to the Navy for 2 years. Spending the whole time at Great Lakes Naval Train Center just north of Chicago. Then back to Springfield. To go in with my dads Dental practice, which we still run.

Have two sons, Ed and Charles both living in Springfield. Charles has one son Justin who is 10.

We have continued with about the same interest as had in H.S. Amateur radio, electronics, photography, cars, boating and shop work. We did branch out to aviation for a while.

Currently all is well in our life, still with same wife, can’t afford to change! Family is all well. So life is good. Looking forward to seeing a batch of old people in the fall.

Retired from the Air Force and from Banking. Now, I'm hobby farming raising Texas Longhorns and a mule. I work on old cars including a 1950 Ford Pickup, two 1968 Saab Sonetts (they on ly made 1610 of these) and a 1963 Mini.
I got into running on my 70th birthday by running in the Springfield Turkey Trot, with 7,000 others!  Now I run at least one 5K a month.
