Still living and working in Springfield. Married since 1974. Playing lots of golf and taking digital photos in my spare time. Wife (Marilyn) takes great care of me and our cat Mittens. We both have our real estate licenses, she does most of that work and I do the technology stuff, email, Web page, etc. We have our licenses at Murney Assoc. I do see Dee Wampler from time to time, he is doing great and may well be our most high profile classmate, at least in this area. It was sad to see that so many of our class mates have passed along. Widowed in '70 - live close to my two sons, one dau., three grandsons & one granddaughter. I'm a Realtor with RE/MAX Lake Cities (appr. 20 min. North of Dallas) - originally licensed in '77. Stay busy with work (love it), my family (basketball, soccer, etc.) and volunteer at Denton County Jail. If I could figure out how to retire one day, I would live on the nearest golf course! :o)

I retired from the pastorate August of 2005 in Laurel, Maryland, and my wife Sharon Ward Dowell moved back to Texas to live near our youngest daughter, Karla Whitaker who lives in Huntsville, TX, which is about an hour south of us. We now live in a beautiful resort community with a beautiful golf course. I am really enjoying being able to play all the golf I want to. I am glad that I just found out about this web-sight so that I can hear about and get reacquainted with many of my old class mates.

I retired from teaching high school 2 years ago. I have 4 grandchildren ages 6,3,and twin girls who are 1. I live at Ridgemark Golf and Country Club and have a beautiful view of the 6th fairway. I don't play golf but I cerainly do lots of baby sitting because my grandchilren live around the corner from me.

My life has changed considerably in the past 14 months. My husband, Don, passed away in August, 2010. I could not afford to continue to live in southwest Florida so moved (in December) to Columbia to be closer (about 5 miles vs. 1200 miles) to my daughter and her family. In addition to the adjustments to the climate, I found a lot of challenges in meeting people, finding doctors, dentists, veterinarian, etc. Things are better than they were last winter. My daughter Tracy and her husband John have a 4-year-old son; it's interesting to see how fast they change!! Tracy and John are both teachers. My son Todd and his family (he and Veronica have 12-year old twin boys) live in a San Diego suburb. I hope to be able to travel out there before the snow flies here! If any classmates are in this area, please give me a call or send an e-mail. Would love to keep in touch. I was at the 50-year reunion in '08, but missed seeing a lot of you. Bette
